Scoliosis is a multifactorial, three-dimensional condition that can affect each person differently. While this course offers valuable education, awareness, and practical strategies, it is not a treatment program. For optimal results, it is essential that you are under the direct care of a scoliosis-trained healthcare professional who can provide individualized assessment and treatment when needed.

--Foundational concepts to better understand curves that are similar to your (Remember: YOUR curve is unique to YOU.)
--How to build postural awareness and recognize your unique movement patterns.
--Strategies to improve proprioception and balance to support your daily function.
--How to identify areas of restriction or compensatory movement that may influence your posture and comfort.
--How to advocate for your needs and work in partnership with your healthcare team.
Who This Course Is For
This course is ideal if you:
Are between the ages of 8 and 80+ and have scoliosis.
Have been told to “just monitor” your curve and want to be proactive.
Are newly diagnosed and seeking clear, empowering information to guide your next steps.
Have completed scoliosis-specific physical therapy and want additional education to improve balance, proprioception, and movement awareness.
Important Considerations & Limitations
This course may not be appropriate if:
--You are a growing child or teen with scoliosis. In this scenario, it is strongly recommended that you are under the direct care of a scoliosis specialist, as these curves can progress quickly during growth.
--If you’ve been told to “just monitor” your curve and do not have access to a specialist, you may still take this course at your own discretion. Education is significantly preferable to doing nothing and can help you advocate for yourself and your care.
--You have medical conditions or surgical histories that make general exercise unsafe, including but not limited to:
Neurological conditions, spinal tumors, spinal fusions, Ehlers-Danlos or hypermobility disorders, connective tissue disorders, cardiac conditions, uncontrolled blood pressure, seizure disorders, severe osteoporosis, acute trauma, or recent surgery.
--You experience severe pain, weakness, or mobility limitations that would make participation unsafe without medical clearance.
--If you have had joint replacements, limited mobility, or balance deficits, you may require appropriate modifications or medical clearance before participating.
